I am a native German speaker with fluent English who is passionate about reading, writing, creative works, stories full of fantasy and travelling. I have a few years experience in translating and during my active time as a social worker I taught English to German teenagers and German to teenage refugees.

I am always up for challenges and to push my limits. Travelling for the last three years widened my perspective and made me step out of my comfort zone a lot. Travelling with all this experience in my luggage helps me to emphasise with plenty of points of view. I easily adjust to new environments, conditions and tasks. I am enthusiastic about exploring cultures, learning new skills and of course sharing these moments in spoken and written word. Beeing a travel blogger and offering others the world through my eyes is something I take much pleasure in. Currently I am wishing for a meaningful task while travelling Guatemla. So if you're looking for fast translation of a business document or you need your brochure, flyer, or creative piece translated, I am the freelancer you are looking for! (which also applies for creative writing and blogging)

When I started travelling with my best friend we opened this blog. We managed to take our friends, family, each other and whoever was interested in our stories on little journeys through Europe, Africa, USA and Central America. Sharing these experiences in unique anecdotes kept us close to our beloved ones, even though we were far away.

Line handling for Panama Canal transit

Private sailors , Colón, Panama

During my travels through Panama I managed to transit the Panama Canal twice. Once on a multihull and the second time on a monohull. Being and working on boats (most likely with international companionship) is something that inspires me a lot and as paradox it might sound, grounds me. Having a specific task, in these cases performing the line handling for a secure crossing, is very enjoyable for me.

Food supply and maintenance on a dhow

I joined a very passionate Italian sailor and his international crew on his own bulit wooden dhow on the Kenyan Coast. I managed the food supply and storage for a three day sail and stayed for maintenance two more months.

Volunteer in reforesting project

Reforest Accion , Villasbuenas de Gata, Spain

I joined a very ambitious group of people from all over the world to help reforesting the area of Extremadura with indigenous trees. Not only this area suffers plenty of fires each year. We managed to plant 10000 trees in one month- great work for our future forests!
