Business goal of that project is to build a user-friendly application with map interface that provides information about energy generation and distribution for seven energy pools existing in the USA.
User could specify address of his interest and application provides full information about units and load points located near specified location, energy costs and available distribution tariffs, load zone energy prices and other related information. Additionally user can view history of energy prices for the last several years and current real-time and day-ahead prices for unit/ load point/load zone.
Application allows user to enter information about energy usage and price from his/her bills. Based on this information and data stored in system, application calculates different alternative tariff plans and possible economy that user could get if he uses energy directly from load point. If specific alternative tariff is accepted by user application provides way to establish connection between user and load point to use energy directly from it.
