Senior AI software engineer

A new AI “startup” group within a large ASIC provider is looking for a strong and experienced software engineer to lead the development of its AI developer toolchain, which include an AI compiler, simulator and drivers.
This is a unique opportunity to join a small yet highly experienced team of FPGA/ASIC and software engineers that is developing a breakthrough solution in the AI acceleration for edge devices. This team is planned to grow significantly, and now is the time to take a leadership position in this team that is focused on a fascinating and highly lucrative field with the AI space.

Main roles:
• Design, develop and debug the AI graph compiler that takes AI models and assigns processing tasks to different AI engines in an FPGA-based AI accelerator
• Work closely with the FPGA team on defining interfaces, identifying root-causes for issues and optimizing the performance and robustness of the system
• Research and design optimization algorithms for running parallel tasks, optimize memory allocation, and reduce overall system overhead
• Work closely with additional software and hardware groups on defining technological roadmap and larger ecosystem for Neural Network acceleration and optimization

Qualifications and skills:
• BSc. In Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from leading universities
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Python
• Proven understanding of software-hardware interfaces and debugging in embedded systems
• Proficiency with data-structures, ability to design and implement algorithms that solve specific optimization and allocation problems
• Experience with AI ecosystems (Pytorch, TensorFlow, Onnx etc) or computer vision – Advantage
• Previous experience developing graph compilers – Advantage
• High proficiency in English - (work environment is in English and includes colleagues in USA)
• Motivated, self-learner and a team player
• Problem solver with can-do attitude
This is a full-time hybrid position that requires 2-3 days a week in Hod Hasharon
