An Android app that streams from mic

I need an Android programmer to build an app that uses minimum energy consumption from a smartphone(screen off, WiFi off,…) while it streams data it reads from the mic.

The data stream is read by our algorithm thread which will also be a part of the application (both a part of the same GitHub project).

The android application will also need to be able, when requested by our code, to save to a file (binary or other) the previous 't' minutes and the next 't' minutes after a save request was made. So the total length of the mp3 file will be 2*t.

The saved files will be used for research in matlab.

The only GUI is a button that changes from START to EXIT, after pressing Exit the app closes.
