I actually started my professional writing career as an academic article writer, published in 2000 for the first time as a Communications Intern at a Non-Profit community-based historical society. If a visitor comes to your website, most of the time it's because they've been referred to you or searched for something in Google that either directly in search results or through some web surfing, brought them to your site. If you give your visitor what they're looking for, whatever page of your site they land on, within about 10 seconds, chances are they'll keep reading and want to read more. Creating content that intrigues the reader, engages them and increases their interaction with your site is my primarily goal. With high quality content, conversion rates increase, and so do retention rates. With all of the rich forms of website content that can be produced, this particular channel of content is one of the most appealing and exciting to me.

Another favorite of mine, blog posts are a great way for writers to communicate and truly talk to their readers. As the tone of voice in blogs is more conversational, generally, and almost emulates the thoughts of readers or questions they may have about how to make your product or solution work best for them, blogs are a lot of fun to write and also offer brilliant insights for readers. Ultimaltely, blogs are one of the best ways to get your site visitors coming back for more. My experience writing blog posts has only ever been positive. They create structure in your site visitor's mind, they offer helpful hints, tips, info, insights and much more that your core website pages are not designed to offer. Readers can enjoy reading about user experience, personal anecdotes and connect with your brand and product on a more personal level.
