automate and save clicks

I am looking automate and save clicks when I edit products in my Esty store

I tried to inject the following code into
Google Chrome console.
In order to change the color of the "gemstone" to blue

document.getElementById('attribute-340').value = "2";


I also tried to insert to the search box the following:
document.getElementById('taxonomy-search').value = "loose diamond";


I see both changes are implement on the front end
however once I submit them and recheck the product it seems the changes are not implement on the back end.

Why aren't the changes implemented on the backend?

I know that Esty is using Backbone.js for its front end library.
I am a junior developer I am looking for a freelancer to share a screen with me and guide me how to inject with java script a code in Google Chrome console that would be saved on the back end.

I will only pay if you can solve the issue.
