Get-Rich-Quick Mentality – Scam Trap This is an emotional subject, the kind you can go on and on about

I always remember myself reading allot , I am not talking about your main stream novels or mind blowing biographies, I don’t like “running” after information and this is one of the reasons I am subscribing to many destinations that can enhance my knowledge In marketing , I believe that each marketer must be involved or at least be aware of what’s going on around him, new ventures or companies , new product launches , everything that can direct me to a new traffic “junction”, where people can be approached and being offered a product , this is what I do – look for demand and “attach” a relevant program or product.
Since I have started doing so I have been getting allot of information, whether it’s an email, newsletter or even an RSS feed that can ignite my imagination…I am there, reading it, some would say it could cause an overload but I have learned how to differentiate between what is valuable and what is not (for me of course). As a part of being on those “lists” I am more and more exposed to other marketers, seeing what they do and what they sell and can always give me more ideas, Lately I have encountered many of those “marketers” trying to offer certain products that have no real benefit, they sometimes even lie about what they sell, and if you do decide to buy something, you sometimes can find yourself empty handed. In the last couple of years I am exposed to an overwhelming trend, the kind that makes me think twice – I am being bombarded with allot of offers “buy this…” “buy that…” “you can earn $xxx in one day” “your way to financial freedom…” the list is long , I guess that in the present economic state of the global community, a lot of people all over the world are on the hunt for a better source of income.
Everybody wants to hit it big time and win the jackpot. Some of us desire to get rich quick and many came to know about the internet as a new market to explore. Get rich schemes flood the internet now. A hand full of scams and people that promise the big get rich dream, Despite our desire to earn money with little or less effort (we are all lazy by nature), we should see to it that we avoid the get rich schemes over the internet because it will only rip off our dreams towards financial stability, Someone once told me “Don’t believe anything you read…” 90% is not the way it is really. Get-Rich-Quick Mentality – Scam Trap This is an emotional subject, the kind you can go on and on about, I felt the need to say something today and try and get your attention, the get rich quick mentality is a very common thing , especially in Israel , we all look for financial freedom , we all want to earn big , we all want the lifestyle and because everything here is less than stable, changes rapidly and in some what very dynamic atmosphere , it becomes a big factor that will contribute to the possibility of being a victim of an internet marketing scam.
The way we perceive things can greatly affect our actions and decisions making, especially if we operate by emotions. There are many businesses and companies out there, not just online, you ever stopped to think about it for a second? why some companies succeed ? Why some don’t? We must understand that building up any type of business takes a lot of financial investments, time, effort and dedication, some also add the luck factor , being there at the right time or the right moment, and there is no 100% guarantee that you will succeed, Internet businesses are no different than a traditional brick and mortar business.
Though this type of business requires less startup capital to kick off the operations and start yielding profit. This is the primary reason why a lot of us turn into this type of business, it’s attractive no doubt about it. There are a lot of internet based entrepreneurs and companies who would want to earn money faster than a speeding bullet. These get rich fast mentality has paved the way into the existence of scams , and over the internet when dealing with a cyber anonymous sphere it becomes real easy to set a honey trap .
There are things you should check before reaching for your wallet, try to be a bit more curious and ask more questions Don’t take the bait! It usually takes time until you generate revenue , it’s an ongoing process that can take a few months , I believe that in 6-12 months you can see results , one thing though: if you start a business and in a couple of months you don’t see any response – that’s a red flag , don’t fall in love with your idea! There are a lot of people who made decent sums of money from their own businesses through several months of trial and error – there are no shortcuts!. Be responsible business owner, you have to know that any business has ‘birth pains’ to endure. The first couple of years are a reasonable time frame for you to expect an ROI (Return on Investment).
Internet Marketing Seminars = Dime a dozen? Every time you turn around, every time you open your email inbox it seems as if there is a new seminar that is guaranteed to make you a millionaire in a very short period of time. Huge amounts of emails that are reaching my inbox… Most of these seminars, eBooks, online tools ,” magical “software etc.it’s just a waste of your time and energy. In the end, people find themselves having more questions. You go to a seminar where some of the best Internet Marketing Gurus are lined up to teach you a bunch of garbage, hype and buzz, and then try to sell you a $3000 or even $10000 coaching” package. And yeah sure the Gurus will give you a guarantee that you’ll either make $$$ within 30 days or you can have your money back…good luck there. Once you pay these scam artists you’ll never see your money again. Guaranteed! And believe me I know what I’m talking about. I was scammed myself people , what brought me to write this post in the first place , I rarely fall into traps like this one but since it was a “friend” (we are not friends anymore ) that recommended it I went along with it.
Every day, thousands of people join the Internet Marketing industry , not just in Israel but around the globe… recent statistics show that fewer than 3% of the people in the industry are making enough money to make their efforts worth their time and energy. And less than 1% are making a killing…bear in mind that making a killing can be for a short period and not an ongoing outcome –you must keep on working all the time. This means more than 97% of the marketers are making peanuts or are spending much MORE than what they are making! I know you hear allot of bedtime stories, god knows there are so many storytellers, good ones you start believing that everybody is getting rich around you and that you are being left behind…well…sorry to say folks , it’s so far from the truth. Our neighbor’s lawn is always greener.
If you’re a “newbie’ in the internet marketing world then you are the guru’s favorite catch! If you play poker, you probably understand that the concept is similar, as a poker player you play other people, and on those tables you will always find the “sharks” and the “fish”, and “shark” poker players need the “liquidity” (large volume of “fish” o eat) Because You’re like a drunk fish in shallow waters for them. Why? Newbies do not yet know the ins and outs of the industry, and they cannot always detect misinformation. Gurus and even big name Gurus make the majority of their money duping newbies out of their hard-earned money. This is because the newbie generally does not know enough about Internet Marketing to separate fact from fiction.
Those gurus cooperate with each other, ask yourself a question, is it possible to push and promote so many products? Don’t you think it takes time to prove that a product actually works! People work for years to create a product that is successful and that works, they keep modifying and changing, adding new features, it’s an ongoing process, so being promised the world, the ultimate tool that will make me make millions – I would stop and think for a min. Those Guru’s send one or more emails a week, different offers, how it can be!? Are they cooperating? Selling their guru friend product? They live and thrive from one another, it’s a closed club that allows only the cream de la cream to join. Passive Income!? You probably all heard about the “passive income” pitch , books such as rich dad poor dad that make you believe you can get this passive income easy, Internet Marketing gurus like this myth of passive income. In fact, most people falsely believe that passive income is the route they should pursue when they first enter the Internet Marketing industry, many affiliates think that this is the right way to go, Nothing could be farther from the truth, but no guru will ever tell you this , But I will. There are several ways these gurus will spread their misinformation. It can be done with a few clicks believe me , you will get e-mails with all kinds of sales pitch:
• “Never Work again…learns how to grow your passive income”
• “$8,345 in a day’s work…”
• “Make thousands of dollars every day with this amazing tool.”
• “6 Steps to 6 Figures”
These headlines appeal to many people, It can be pretty convincing I must say…including myself in the past, I wanted to get rich fast but I learned it takes time and allot of hard work , when that guru starts videoing his lifestyle , showing you his expensive cars , his amazing big Beverly hills’ house – start wondering , those gurus know how to make you dream , and we are all about dreams , dreams of getting rich, having stability in life, doing the things we love and cherish.
Try asking more questions, invest time and efforts in learning, reading and actually practicing the trial and error process, I am not saying that there are no guru’s I only say that there are so few in the world that are actually can be called Guru’s ,some offer real valuable contact , some educate us without promising big hopes and dreams, those are rare but they do exist, when you pick your Guru try and learn about their history , success stories (not the ones they wrote but more things that were written on them) , try to look for recommendations (if they weren’t recommended ask yourself why) , don’t fall for the “testimonial” trap It’s very easy to write a recommendation about your product –and people believe it. Look for objective sources that can validate what’s written.
