Since I came back from my trip to Nepal in 2009, I started having porridge nearly every morning. This is very simple and easy to make. It can take up to 8 minutes if you wish. Oats have very good nutritious values, of which you get more details at http://www.eatmoreoats.com/health.html and much more around the wonderful "Eat More Oats" website.
Tal's Porridge (for one person) - Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 spoons of oats
- 1 cup of cold water
- Tehini (ground sesame seeds)
- Raisins
- Dried Plums
- Soy Milk
Directions:
Put 3 spoons oats and a cup of cold water in a small pot, stir well and put on a medium fire for 5 minutes. Lower down the fire, add Tehini and soy milk and stir. Add the reisins and dried plums. Keep stirring until the porridge becomes nicely smooth. Take it off the fire and add some cinnamon.
