In this system, a face once detected is counted as 1 and image is uploaded to cloud. If same face shows up again within 10 minutes, the system doesn't count again. If it shows up again after 10 minutes, it is counted 1 again and total count becomes 2.
The program runs in a store where people come in and go out all the time through the door. The client only wants to take images and count people coming In, not going Out. The camera looks at the door while people come in. It is able to determine if each subject is male or female, adult or child, walking in alone or in a group of two, three or more. Multiple algorithms work simultaneously on face detection and detect faces to identify repeat visits to the store within a span of 90 days.
