Planning Engineer

  •  Developing Outage scope, plans and its monitoring
  •  Developing Manpower, Potable Equipments, Special tools, outsource jobs scopes and Material
  • requirements for each outage work order and follow up with procurement for timely availability
  • of all the required resources.
  •  Compiling Outage reports and organizing critique sessions to capture lesson learned.
  •  Develop Long Term Outage and Running Hours Plans.
  •  Representing Planning Team in daily Morning Meeting to discuss new defects work orders raised
  • since last morning meeting and plan accordingly.
  •  Develop and implement Work Order/Maintenance Planning process flows and implementing it
  • using CMMS for the first time since plant commissioned.
  •  Preparing and issuing Day and Week ahead plans to Maintenance Teams.
  •  Review, Restructure and update CMMS database for Preventive Maintenance Programs and
  • developing PM task lists for Mechanical, Electrical and I&C task lists for PMs.
  •  Equipment hierarchy designing and functional locations restructuring according to KKS/TAG
  • numbers and P&IDs for uploading in upcoming CMMS (SAP)
  •  Developing Material (BOM) and attaching it to equipments in CMMS with installed quantity of
  • each part number.

  • Working as “Planning Engineer” for GasTurbines (9 units), HRSGs(5 Units), Diesel Generators, Hydrogen Generators & CCB
  •  Preparing Major Inspection, HGPI, CI & Annual Inspection Plans using MS Project, Creating overhauling work orders, preparing shutdown report etc.
  •  Preparing 5 years and 1 year Inspection plans for GTGs, STGs & Water Plants based on latest running hours and plant conditions on every December and get it approved by management
  •  Preparing scope of work for GTG inspections to be done by outside contractors.
  •  Representing Planning Team in “PDR” Plan Do Review meeting on daily basis with Operation to review new notifications created in last 24hours, review progress on ongoing activities and schedule breakers.
  •  Updating daily maintenance log in computerized data base.
  •  Validating Notifications from SAP for Mechanical/Electrical/I&C disciplines work centers,
  • creating work orders and assigning required resources by making frequent site visits, referring to P&IDs, Isometric Drawings & OEM Manuals, coordination with Operation Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors and all related interfaces.
  •  Scheduling PM and CM work orders once they are approved by superintendent.
  •  Preparing & issuing Weekly Maintenance Schedules.
  •  Participating in weekly planning meeting and presenting the lock schedule(next week schedule,
  • T-2(2 weeks look ahead & T-6(6 weeks look ahead)
  •  Analyzing SAP PM Plans discrepancies, duplication, bugs or errors and initiating corrective
  • actions.
  •  Keeping record of accomplishment and following up for all “backlog” work orders, which are
  • waiting for Material/Services/Engineering etc.
  •  Preparing & presenting Maintenance KPI in weekly Planning meeting.

  •  Keeping track record and following up for all “backlog” work orders which are waiting for Material/Services/Engineering etc.
  •  Updating and creating Maintenance Plans in SAP for all Mechanical Equipments.
  •  Creating Purchase Order Description for spares
  •  Ensuring all KPI compliances for work orders including PM Plant compliance, Schedule
  • Attainment, Plan v/s Actual KPIs.
  •  Providing necessary assistance to Scheduler for issuing Daily & Weekly Schedules.
