R&D Director -node, js, cloud, agile,CI, CD ,TDD

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced R&D Director to manage our new comparison site development group.



Responsibilities:

Lead our new Comparison Site Development group, consisting of 2-3 teams and team leaders as well as 10 full-stack software developers.
End-to-end delivery to production – From design to deploy. Full ownership on the quality of the deliveries.
Full ownership on production 24/7.
Provide design and architecture leadership, mentor the team, and implement best practices.
Design, architect and code JavaScript solutions - Node.js. AngularJS, MongoDB.
Instill agile development methodologies (Scrum & Kanban), and coordinate release and sprints planning.
Work closely with Product managers and other interfaces to deliver the roadmap.
Manage development in a highly dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Be part of the R&D management team, designing and leading the company's technological roadmap.

Requirements:

5+ years' experience in managing R&D groups as VP R&D/Director/Group Manager at an internet company.
Vast experience in managing development of large scale applicative web products.
7+ years of hands-on experience in Open Source, Object-Oriented programming using JavaScript - ideally Node.js, AngularJS, Express.
A strong background with RESTful Services Architecture.
Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Expertise in cloud-based environments - ideally AWS
Excellent ability to solve problems and think outside the box.
Proven leadership skills with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Computer Science degree – a must.
MBA – an advantage.
