DBA for Hi Tech company

Responsibilities
• Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
• Planning, managing and performing DB maintenance according to scheduled timetable, ensuring best performance
• Designing & tuning databases structures and queries
• Guiding, training and support application developers for database usage
• Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues
• Fine-tune the databases to match application requirements.
• Interfacing with the various R&D Groups and Customer Support

Requirements

• B.A Computer Science or equivalent
Requirements
• At least 5 years’ experience as a DBA in a fast paced, high growth, technology and intensive environment.
• Solid background in Microsoft SQL, adhoc SQL queries, log shipping and store procedures.
• Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
• Knowledge in High availability : Cluster, log shipping , Mirroring. Always on - Advantage
• Knowledge in DWH, Reports, SSIS
• Knowledge in BI, Reports, ETL
• Experience in NoSQl and DWH technologies - Advantage
• Solid background in Microsoft SQL
• Applicative DBA Masters Transact SQL, Stored procedures/functions
• Strong knowledge with SQL Server infrastructure : design build & maintain sql servers
