Primer Video

Torah Aura Productions is a Jewish educational publisher specializing in classroom materials used primarily in North America. We are working on an online Hebrew primer.

The project: We are looking to create of twelve ninety-second videos. Each video will both tour Israel and introduce six Hebrew vocabulary words. There is to be a connection between the location and the vocabulary words.

Here is an example: We will visit Tel Aviv. In Tel Aviv we will go to the beach and meet bodies dressed in bathing suits. These figures will be used to introduce six vocabulary words about the body. An image of a head will be matched with the spoken word “Rosh.”

Below are the proposed locations and the vocabulary ares. Other creative issues can be discussed.

These videos must be copyright free. No images or music will be paid for. Whatever permissions are needed from actors must be obtained by the provider.

The audience for these videos is 8- to 11-year-olds.

8 Tel Aviv/beach/body parts

9 Haifa/restaurant/forks, knives, spoons

10 Tel Megiddo/archeology/spatial relations (on, over, under, next to)

11 Galilee/soccer team/food (falafel, ice cream)

12 Tzfat/Shabbat/items used on Shabbat
