Custom Application Plug In using Maya C++ API

Hi,

Im looking to program a custom application plug in using the Maya C++ API (or, less desirable, the Python API)

You should be familiar with Autodesk Maya's features and architecture as well as its API and scripting languages.

The idea for the application is to create a user interface within Maya that will let users who have no experience with 3d software be able to interact with very specific parts of maya easily.
This can be accomplished either as a plug-in that is loaded into Maya and provides its own UI or as a 'stand alone' application that uses the Maya API.

Once awarded, I will ask you to submit a design proposal for the interface which once approved you can start programming.

I am using Maya for this project because it has the morphing technology I am looking for already built in, therefore all we would need to do in theory is program a custom UI around it. Also Maya is known for its open ended nature and ability to easily customize it (as per the documentation at the top).

Having said that if you can think of a better solution that will give me the same core functionality (and that will either accept or fully replace Maya Blendshapes as input) I am happy to hear it.

I am open to do this as an hourly project as well depending on what is more convenient to you.
