דרוש פרילנסר מומחה ל- Assistance fixing a PHP Application to work with PHP 5.3+
We deliver training and at the end of each course the students get via email a digital course certificate in PDF. We have a simple custom PHP application on our hosted server that produces the PDF certificates and emails them to the students.
The list of students is uploaded in a CSV file and the PHP application then produces the PDF documents and emails them. The PHP application is a simple interface that uses DOMPDF to create the PDF files.
With a PHP 5.2 interpreter on the server all works well but with PHP 5.3+ interpreter the PDF documents produced are "broken". It is possible that the problem is with an outdated version of DOMPDF.
This work calls on fixing the application by:
1. Verifying the source of the problem that produces broken PDF documents. Solutions may be to fix the application's PHP code; or upgrade the DOMPDF version or replacing the existing DOMPDF with Zend PDF, if this is the source of the problem.
2. Checking and fixing the PHP code if needed to be more robust and modern.
3. Making some minor cosmetic changes to the application.
Attached is the PHP application and supporting files.
