Customizing Theme to add video and other things.

Hi,

I need someone to help me add video functionality to my shopify store.

Currently the store has native video functionality only on the homepage slideshow section using Shopify's own CDN, which has severe limitations.

To begin with I am looking to:
1. Make the homepage video able to play videos from an external hosting site (ie. Vimeo, Wistia).

2. Add video functionality to the product page image slideshow, so that I can choose one of the images in the slideshow to be video instead of a still image.

It is important that videos respect all settings I put on the hosting site such as autoplay, loop, player controls, mute, etc.
It is also very important that video remains completely responsive and compatible with all desktop / mobile browsers.

The idea at the end is to have an autoplay, looping video showing on both the homepage and the product page, both in desktop and mobile.

I am still deciding on which video platform to use so if you have any suggestions they are welcome. Obviously I would like to save costs and use a cheaper platform if functionality is not compromised.

Once this initial task is done I have several more customizations to add to the site and the idea is to work on an ongoing basis until the site is complete.

Clean code that does not mess up my theme and is easily upgradable is a must.
